Celebrating Singles in the Month of September
Celebrating National Singles MonthSeptember is 'national singles' month. This would be a celebration worth missing! "Sure," you say, "but how do I do that? Trust me, I'm trying!" Fair enough. So, in addition to utilizing PerfectMatch.com's forward-thinking DuetŪ Total Compatibility System, here's a checklist to consider. Five really important points you might not have thought about. They can help you begin a relationship on a more positive footing, and keep it there...hopefully, forever! 1. Ask Questions and Be Curious. How often have you thought someone wasn't really listening to you? Or, are you the offending person, and have been told repeatedly you're not paying attention? The fact is, while we know it's wrong to hog the air time, few of us know how to listen attentively. Listening well does not mean sitting there mute. Passive listening is also unattractive. The other person will start to feel they're talking to themselves. However, active listening is exciting to be around. That's when a person hears what you're saying, understands the subject material, and shows you they're listening by asking for more detailed information. They may also ask for a clarification, or perhaps ask you a question so insightful; you know without question they're interested. This makes both parties more interesting in the process. A curious, active listener promotes a relationship which often is deep, complex and makes both people feel more intimate. Hone this skill, and you're on your way to being significantly more valuable as a partner. I'm thinking of the kind of weather that makes people want to experience the outdoors, where sharing love become a little more common and insistent. Summer is finally upon us, so here are a few hints in my top five favorite ideas: 1. Plan for a picnic. This should include a contingency strategy in case it rains. Summer picnics are romantic, no doubt about it. A bottle of wine or Pellegrino mineral water (which costs the same as a lot of flavored drinks), a loaf of bread, your favorite cheese and perhaps a few pieces of chicken all spread out on a tablecloth over a grassy hill - with no ant hill in the nearby vicinity - perfect! When the picnic day comes, but rains threaten your Plan A, Plan B can be just as sweet by moving to your living room or covered balcony/deck. 2. Go swimming in a lake or the ocean. Hiking into a lake makes it usually private and beautiful. Lakes have less hustle and bustle compared to ocean beaches, unless you select an ocean adventure with equal care for being alone. Don't forget to bring something to snack on, the appropriate suntan lotion and plenty of water to hydrate. Read more on September Date Ideas |

Married April 19, 2007 I'm so grateful, I want to thank PerfectMatch. Who would think a girl like me, all the way from Denmark (Europe) would move to America and meet the man of my dreams? I'm so thankful. If it wasn't for your website, Michael and I would never have met.
