Pepper Schwartz, Ph.D, received her doctorate from Yale University, and is presently a tenured Professor of Sociology at the University of Washington. In 2005, Dr. Schwartz won a national award from the American Sociological Association for Public Understanding of Sociology. Dr. Schwartz is also the past President of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality.

Dr. Schwartz appears frequently on television, including "Oprah," "The Today Show," "Dateline NBC," "Good Morning America," "Dr. Phil" and CNN. She's also the Romance Travel Consultant for Peter Greenberg's syndicated radio show, "Travel Today."
