I met this man on another dating site. He seemed very intelligent and interesting, although, thinking back, he did have a bit of a superiority complex about where he lived, his profession, education, etc. I do try to be open minded and optimistic, so I agreed to meet him for coffee at a Panera Bread that was halfway between our homes. Well, he walked in carrying a cup of coffee from Dunkin' Donuts. I was mortified. As if this wasn't bad enough, he never offered to buy me even a cup of coffee! Then he proceeded to orate fairly nonstop for over an hour, until I finally told him that I was tired and needed to get home. Of course, HE had a wonderful time and wanted to see me again. As for me? Not so much...

Make a wish? - Run far and fast from this date!
I met this guy on a popular dating site. We talked on the phone, he mentioned the 'hideous' woman he last dated. I asked ' what is hideous to you?'. She smelled of coffee, smoke...well, knowing better I still agreed to a first date at his suggestion an Applebee's.

After some pleasantries , he started running his hand in my hair, touching my shoulder, so I politely said I needed to go. He walked me to my car. Looked at me, quickly said "
Make a wish" and kissed my upper chest!!! I couldn't leave fast enough!

Turn off your phone already!
I went on a date in Manhattan to a upscale, 5 star restaurant, can't remember the name though. I used one of the alternate dating sites where you pay to get matched with a good date. It was one of those dating sites that claims to set women up with great matches by taking your information and using this information to select your match. Yeah right! They aren't sending you out to dinner or drinks with someone compatible. Let me tell you this was a terrible date, the worst ever. The guy never asked me anything, was a total jerk and very rude. He was supposed to be a financial guy, hardworking and the list goes on. He kept texting under the table the whole time and never really looked at me. I didn't get a hug or kiss, nada. He just took off after the date to talk on the phone, some business professional! I don't recommend this approach.

Drinks Anyone?
Meet a retired law enforcement man at a local pizza sports bar after talking a while we seemed to get along well after running into him a second time at the same place I agreed to go out with him. We talked on the phone several times prior to our date and he sent me flowers to my work saying how excited he was about our date forthcoming . I meet him at the same pizza sports bar and had a very nice Italian dinner and he wanted to go to another place for some fun and cocktails. We ended up the street away's at karaoke bar and we enjoyed watching people singing. I had one cocktail I make it a rule never to get drunk on dates especially first dates. He kept buying me shots after I said "no, thank you" I was passing them out to whom ever was standing by He continued to drink.. to the point of not being able to walk to the men's restroom.. When we left I was thinking how am I going to get back to my car that we left at the other place we had dinner? He starting throwing up in the parking lot. I asked for the keys so I can drive and he snapped at me .. "NO" he eventually passed out behind the wheel. I got his keys and placed them in the glove box wrote him a note where to find his keys. I got out and proceed to walk back to get my car.. when someone I knew drove by and waved me down and asked what was I doing walking ? It was almost 1:00 am I told her what had happened. My girlfriend gave me a ride to my car. We laughed about my date from hell still I didn't hear from him for a couple of days.. he apologized and had the nerve to ask me out again?? Of course I said "NO"

Come Meet My Beverly Hills Chihuahua?
I remember meeting a man for a first lunch date. First he started out by bad mouthing Arabs then went on to blacks. I couldn't believe it! He then started talking about his housekeeper offering him sex after she cleaned his house. While we were eating he grabbed my hand and held it firmly in his. He pointed out a woman across the room and commented on her elbows on the table and shoveling the food in her mouth. He invited me to his home around the corner to meet his chihuahua. As soon as I sat down on the sofa he leaned over and started kissing me! I am not taking a peck. I mean full on open mouth. Yuck. I couldn't get out of the door fast enough. He kept calling. I finally had to tell him he was the most crass person I had ever met and don't ever contact me again!

Brad Pitt Magically Becomes Brad Garrett
The worst date I ever had was with a man who on a dating site had posted a very old picture. Black hair, slim waistline. What a surprise to see an old gray hair'd big belly guy show up. Moral of the story - only post current pictures. Truth!
