But Westlake Village has a lot more going for it, especially the lakes and my favorite site is the lake at the end of Lindero Canyon Road, where a very nice restaurant (Boccaccio's) boasts a splendid view of the lake and, surprisingly for place with a view, great food for a relaxing Sunday brunch or a romantic dinner.

Waiting until the last minute may make things spontaneous - or disastrous. Plan your date in advance, set expectations and ensure your date is in agreement. Know how to get there, where to park, when things are open, etc. Look like you know how to make things happen seamlessly.
